What we collect

• Profile: the name you choose, your cartoon character, your country, whether you live there, and the app language. These show next to what you write.
• Google account: when you sign in to post or ask, we get your email from Google to keep out fake accounts. Your email is never shown to anyone.
• What you write: tips, questions, answers, places you suggest and Google Maps links. All of it is public. When you suggest a place, the app reads its position from the Google Maps link you give (not from your phone) to check it is on the right street.
• The last street you were on inside the game, so players on the same street see you standing there. It is a street in the game, not your real location; the app never uses your phone’s location.
• Thanks: when someone thanks you for an answer we store who thanked whom, and the number of thanks shows on your card.
• Messages from the Dunya Tour team: if the team writes to you (for example to check a place you suggested), only you and the team see them.
• Private messages: ready-made questions and replies with a short note, seen only by you, the other person, and the reviewer if someone reports them.
• When you were last online and how fast you reply, so people who ask you know when to expect an answer.
• Coins, passport, trip, Grandpa’s diary and your level stay on your phone.
• Notifications: your phone checks from time to time for new answers, messages or thanks and shows a notification. No data is sent to anyone for this, and you can turn notifications off in your phone’s settings.
• Ads: Google AdMob may use your device’s advertising ID. Ads only show when you choose to watch one for coins.
• Purchases go through Google Play; we never see payment details.
• Translation happens on your phone; the text is not sent anywhere.

Services we use

Google Firebase for storage and sign-in, Google AdMob for ads and Google Play for purchases. Street places come from OpenStreetMap (© OpenStreetMap contributors).

Safety

Phone numbers, links, money requests and meet-ups are blocked in everything people write; there are report and block buttons, and everyone’s first 3 tips are reviewed before they appear. The app is for ages 13 and up.

Deleting your account

In the app’s menu, tap “Delete my account and data”. This deletes your profile, tips, questions, answers, suggested places, thanks, the team’s messages and your account. Private messages you sent stay with the other person, without your name or character. If you can’t open the app, email us and we will delete your data within 30 days.
